Thin Air Coaching

Thin Air Coaching is a holistic coaching service for endurance athletes who realize that their sport is a significant part of their lifestyle, but not the only part. We specialize in "bang-for-your-buck," especially for those that enjoy the thrill of racing and see training as part of the race experience. Whether you're a cyclist, a runner, a swimmer, an adventure racer, a duathlete, a triathlete, an aquathlete, or any other sort of I'm-gonna-do-a-bunch-of-random-stuff-lete, we have you covered.

We have a firm commitment to training that is rooted in the scientific method and data analysis. Power monitors for cyclists, heart rate monitors for other endurance sports, and specific training logs (we can use yours or we can develop one for you!) are an essential part of the process. We also realize that some people love the numbers and want as much data as possible, while others only care about the analysis and want us to do the math for you.

We also specialize in training camps. Located in the beautiful High County of North Carolina. Just Google "Boone, NC" and "Lance Armstrong" - or, in light of recent admissions, maybe "cycling and running training" - and you will find more than enough anecdotal evidence as to why this is the best place on Earth to train. Roads, trails, climbs, descents, flats, gravel, greenways, altitude, wilderness, and any other keyword trait you might desire is available here. We can arrange a wide variety of accommodations and accruements to make your taste and budet.
